Art Directors Club of Houston 40th Anniversary Exhibition

Art Directors Club of Houston 40th Anniversary Exhibition

Geer Design, Inc., Houston, Texas, 1995

Description

To capture the essence of period printing, artwork was produced at small scale and enlarged using a large format photo copier. On press, pressure between the blankets and cylinders was backed off to achieve the character of letterpress printing. It’s not often that you can make a halftone of fake wood grain look sophisticated. On that level, this works for me.
