Description

Victor Papanek is an educator and designer with a background in anthropology, whose seminal book Design for the Real World: Human Ecology & Social Change was the first to combine design and environmental concerns. His subsequent books include Nomadic Furniture, How Things Don't Work, Design for Human Scale, and The Green Imperative (Thames & Hudson, 1995). Since 1982, Papanek has been the J.L. Constant Professor of Architecture and Design at the University of Kansas.
