The Furniture of Poul Kjærholm: Catalogue Raisonné

Matsumoto Incorporated, New York, New York, 2007

Description

This is a catalog raisonné of the work of furniture designer Poul Kjærholm, the most complete record of his furniture in print. Almost all the photographs in the book, including the photographs of the furniture and the art photographs used as divider pages, were taken by Keld Helmer-Petersen, who knew Kjærholm well and collaborated with him frequently. Printing the book in tritone and using a square trim size reinforces Kjearholm’s elegant and spare style of furniture.

Juror Notes

Gorgeous photo reproductions unite disparate photos in a well-paced catalog. The work’s elegance is reflected well in the book.
