Dance Ink: Photographs

Dance Ink: Photographs

Design/Writing/Research, New York, New York, 1997

Description

The Dance Ink Photographs book assembles the archive of a quarterly dance magazine into a theatrically sequenced narrative. The curtain opens with a clown at the beginning and the “performance” begins, moving through a series of different dancers, photographers, and color environments. In the midst of this performance, there are five essays on choreographers of the modern movement. After the finale, there is a list of closing credits that identify the performers in order of appearance.
