Peter Mendelsund Design, New York, New York, 2004

Description

The challenge here was to present a series of essays on Kafka. Almost every book on Franz Kafka I’ve ever seen fails to present on the jacket the wit and ironic humor that are so in evidence in Kafka’s works themselves. There are limited pictures of Kafka extant, so I just picked one and had fun with it. There are 14 essays in the collection, each of which presents a different facet of the man and his writing. Hence, 14 Kafkas on the jacket (counting the back and spine).
