The Great Divide

The Great Divide

Sheldon Cotler, New York, New York, 1973

Description

This book is one in a series of 25 books which show North American Wilderness areas in pictures and text. The first 16 pages provide a photographic look at the area before text matter is introduced. Original design was for a larger size book, which would have suited subject matter better. However, the series is sold primarily by mail order, and increased postal rates necessitated smaller format.

Special features: Front cover offset in 4 colors on sheet laminated stock. Spine stamped with dull white foil.

Collections: Fifty Books of the Year (1974)
Discipline: Book design
Format: Book
