Neo: A Journal of Innovation and Rediscovery

Neo: A Journal of Innovation and Rediscovery

Carbone Smolan Associates, New York, New York, 1996

Description

The Simpson Paper Company, a leading manufacturer of recycled papers, produces Neo, a special-edition magazine targeted to the design community. The design of the magazine is awarded to an outstanding design firm each year to address the central theme of innovation and rediscovery.

Carbone Smolan Associates developed editorial concepts that would be engaging for the creative design community and provide a rich canvas for the design. Working with creative individuals such as the performance artist Laurie Anderson, fashion designer Gene Meyer, and special effects whiz Robert Greenberg, we crafted a provocative work that highlights some of the most innovative people, places, and things influencing contemporary culture.
