Christian Dior

Christian Dior

Matsumoto Inc., New York, New York, 1996

Description

This catalogue was published in conjunction with the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition on Christian Dior. The challenge in designing this book was to understand and reflect the curator’s perspective on the work of Dior. The catalogue critically analyzes and interprets the individual pieces of Dior’s art in detailed and close-up view. It also attempts to penetrate beneath the surface to reveal the substructure. In other words, the intention is to see Dior directly through his work.
