Nike Corporate Packaging

Nike Corporate Packaging

Nike Design, Beaverton, Oregon, 1995

Description

We developed our new corporate packaging with four considerations in mind.
1. Environment: 100% recycled material, 100% recyclable, 50% inks and no glue.
2. Brand: Simple and direct design to launch “The Swoosh” identity into retail.
3. Cost: Minimize cost. Each penny of cost represents 1.8 million dollars a year.
4. Strength: Make it strong tot withstand the rigors of shipping and the retail world.

It’s always fun to take limiting design constraints and use them to your advantage.
