The official Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia website,, was designed as a virtual extension of the Martha Stewart brand. Translating the unique color palettes and photography of the brand proved to be a challenge, given the fluidity of the medium. Ultimately, the success of the site is due to its intuitive, simple-to-use interface. Martha Stewart has encouraged many new users to venture onto the web; these novices look for signs and metaphors from other media to help make the process of information-seeking, shopping, and community participation easy and enjoyable. Our users would expect nothing less.
