Animal Estates

PS New York, 2009

Description

Animal Estates, an ongoing collaboration with artist and architect Fritz Haeg, is a traveling exhibition that creates model dwellings for animals in the urban landscape. The work has been exhibited in various museums and institutions, including the Whitney Biennial, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Casco, Office for Art, Design and Theory in Utrecht. PS New York developed a graphic system that gives an identity to each of the animal clients and cities where the projects occur.

Juror Notes

Beautiful graphics for a cool project. Nicely executed.

The only thing better than one [seal/frog/swallow/eagle/bee/butterfly/beaver] is two [seals/frogs/swallows/eagles/bees/butterflies/beavers]!

Really liked the field guides. Fresh design on an interesting (yet unusual) topic.
