The Pull-Out Picture Book

The Pull-Out Picture Book

Edward Ernest, 1944

Description

Juror Notes

A combination of traditional folding plates and modern plastic spiral binding makes a book of grateful freshness. The spiral adds color, and is so covered that it does not project to become a nuisance. Folding plates create no special binding problem when fastened in the spiral. The color of the inside cover carries across the title-page; end-sheets, superfluous in such a binding, are not included. The reed-pen drawings and title typeface match nicely, but the roominess of the text pages contrasts unfavorably with the crowded pictures on the bleed folding-plates.
