Description

The Greater Alabama Council chooses a theme each year in which to base the year’s activities. The theme for 2000 was to coincide with Colin Powell’s national public school program emphasizing strong values. Titled Simple Truths, the annual report details a scout’s story with a simple truth, and a character that once represented that truth: loyalty=Lassie, strength=Popeye, compassion=Bambi, etc. The annual report’s usage is two fold: to report the numbers and activities of the year, and as a fundraiser for the next year. All print, paper, design and photography are donated, so that of course played a significant part in both the design and the production.
