The concept came from the fact that SXSW is a music conference for A&R and music industry executives held in Texas where new and emerging acts are showcased. Capitol Records was hosting a party and wanted to incorporate a double CD package with the party invitation. Because the event was being held in Texas—land of the BBQ— I chose that as the theme. My favorite part is the disc art: I scanned my husband’s meat thermometer!
