Description

Jim White’s music defies categorization. It’s been described as a fusion of southern folk and hip hop, thinking about God, Faulkner and maybe even Tom Waits and Beck. The main challenge with the design was figuring out a way of dealing with the large amount of visual material White offered for consideration, including artwork, photographs, writings, stories, observations, old textbooks, a collection of old newspaper clippings, amps and other oddities. Through editing, reworking and adding large amounts of UFO evidence and photography by André Thijssen, we developed a design that would accommodate this material.
