We set out to design a 40-page feature story for CITY magazine’s Spring Fashion Issue. The story was about visions—photographers interpreting fashion designers and their spring collections.
Based on the fact that we had to deal with many different styles and sizes of photography, our strategy was to keep the design simple. The strong typographic opener and the consistent treatment of credit labels on the inside spreads gave the story impact and flexibility. It also helped maintain consistency throughout the story, independent of the various styles of photography.
The project was a huge success. Client, photographers and graphic designers were very happy with the result.
