Description

The client was looking for a Christmas gift that would keep on giving throughout the year. A calendar seemed to be the answer. The calendar, which is not for sale, was distributed to students, faculty and friends of the School of Visual Arts.
The notable feature of the long and narrow format is that the numerals are large and readable from a distance, while only a sliver of wall space is required for hanging. The great variety of letterforms provides a comprehensive overview of type and calligraphy, making the calendar inspirational to designers and useful to everybody.
The responses have been enthusiastic, and the calendar’s selection by the AIGA jury confirms the favorable anecdotal comments it has received.
