Description

This is a novel about the Indian community in Kenya during the Mau Mau rebellion. The narrator is an old man, who, in exile from his native Africa, looks back on his youth and adolescence.

My approach was to try to depict this curious mixture of cultures while simultaneously depicting the different ages of the narrator. Hopefully, when viewed lazily, the three portraits form a composite of a single person.
