This novel is a bit of an intellectual game where the author runs through his various sexual conquests alphabetically and each of his twenty-six girlfriends resemble a different famous literary heroine. I thought this would be a great opportunity to get some big beautiful letterforms on a cover that have nothing, editorially speaking, to do with the cover copy.
