Snake is a sad, gritty story about a dysfunctional family in Australia. The cover is symbolic: the roots represent the family, Down Under; the blossoms (growth, beauty, happiness) are nowhere to be seen; the type is gritty. The palette is dry and the overall feeling is somewhat compelling and slightly disturbing at the same time.
