Description

This corporate image brochure is used to introduce designers around the world to Büttenpapierfabrik Gmund. Since the audience speaks many different languages, multilingual text (in English, French, and German) was kept to a minimum and a photoessay was used to show the locale and factory. The first spread acts as a locator, describing the Gmund environment and facility. The brochure is packaged in the same signature “ream wrap” Gmund uses to package their paper. The cover shows the small paper lifts that Gmund paper is packaged in, while the back cover shows a stack of wrapped reams of paper.

The client asked us to show a range of techniques, such as engraving and letterpress, so these were incorporated on the caption page. Paper stocks were kept within a range of whites to show different types of stock with minimal interruption of the storyline.
