Description

This poster announced the Architectural League of New York’s annual competition for young architects, with the chosen theme of “scale.” Designer Michael Bierut said, given its subject, “I don’t care how low the budget is or how high the mailing costs will be, or how limited the space on architects’ bulletin boards, this poster is going to be big.” The title of the show appears in 35-point type in a 35-inch diameter black dot. To save money, everything—rules of entry, mailing details, etc.—was printed on only one side of the poster sheet.
