Description

Accepting the realities imposed by the small size of this guidebook presented the most challenges. Designing intricate and detailed maps in this page size, with one color presented a special challenge, since in order to be meaningful the maps needed to be easy to read. All excess information and visuals were eliminated. The design allowed the content to become the focus.

The design solution was to use the personality of the unique content. A reader can use this book to quickly locate an additional spot of interest nearby or to study an area of the city for the next day’s experience. Further cross-reference features allow a reader to directly look up a specific place or the full comments of a specific contributor.
