(1971) Fifty Books of the Year

Description

Jones isolates certain themes and images common to Canadian poetry and fiction since 1880, and attempts to define some of the essential features of both individual writers and the literature generally. The study is neither a survey nor an attempt to deal fully with any particular author or work.

Designer’s Comments: The typeface and format were chosen to give this book an esthetic and personal note, while the asymmetric arrangement of the page indicates a modern approach to match the style of this poetry.
