Description

We wanted to create a beautiful book to sit within the Rumi gift box. Using traditional Islamic pattern design elements as our source, we drew icons and created a sun for the book cover as well as the box cover. Roman capitals circle the sun against a regal purple inset in midnight blue, lending a ruglike simplicity to the flat colors. The two-color interior of rust and dark blue on uncoated stock presents a rich, tactile feel.
