Description

This book concerns the picaresque adventures of Elmyr de Hory, the ‘world’s greatest art forger,’ told by author Irving with Eugenia Sheppard-like name-droppings, Eric Ambler chase sequences, behind-the-scenes art gallery ploys, and high and low camp sexual extravaganzas. A lasting psychological level is the depths to which a man (de Hory) sings to protect and nurture his “talent.”
