(1970) Fifty Books of the Year

Description

The design of this volume was keyed to the holographic nature of the original journal and to the 19th Century day-book genre. Electra italic was selected to simulate the feeling of the original journal’s oblique and the squarish type area also approximates that of the original. Full horizontal rules were employed to distinguish contemporary notes and commentary from the journal matter.
