Description

Almodóvar wanted a poster that could be associated with his idiosyncratic style and be easily understood internationally. Firstly, we avoided photography, which is so overused in the world of cinema. The painting is of a proud and “transparent” woman— a mother that could either be interpreted as the protagonist of the film or someone you know. We wanted the image to be easy to reproduce at any size, and we used only flat colors to be economical.
