Description

This novel is more or less about a woman—a photographer—who moves a lot. The cover image and border are meant to imply a contact sheet and photographic negative. The back cover is one more way of emphasizing “move.” The type is meant to resemble the monograms often stamped on luggage. In this case, the only demand made by the editor was to make the cover look more feminine, so I suggested we make the suitcase pink—a compromise well worth making, as it saved the cover design from doom.
