Designing, writing and preparing a largish book by myself in a year’s timeframe was a tremendous challenge. I managed to do this by creating a special computer system to aid in the book’s design and production. A great editor—Lucas Dietrich at Thames & Hudson—gave great leeway and scope to the project.
