Description

Surrealist Art: The Lindy and Edwin Bergman Collection documents a gift of over 100 works of surrealist art to the Art Institute of Chicago. In designing the book, we tried to walk a fine line between the museum’s serious scholarship and our own desire to create a book that feels surrealist—one that plays upon surrealism’s oblique humor and use of appropriated materials in its structure, imagery, and typography.
