Description

The intent of On a Balcony: A Novel (Mark Luyten) was to document a two-year commissioned art project, link it to the resulting exhibition—On a Balcony: A Cinema (Mark Luyten)—and given readers a clear understanding of both. The process was truly a collaboration (long distance) between the designers and the Belgium-based artist. Several inspired moments were the result of a narrative that developed through the handling of fragmented texts, a huge file of photographs, and a modest budget. Readers received not only a document, but an artist’s book and artwork in one package.
