Description

Depending on whom you talk (or pray) to, the New Testament is the greatest work of fiction in history. I chose to approach designing the jacket as I would a literary novel. I think the photograph (murder victim, NYC) by Andres Serrano works so well because it is a mass (sorry!) of as many contradictions as the book. The man seems dead and alive at the same time, and the image, while horrifying, is also somehow serene and beautiful. The publisher was extremely brave to go with this design.
