Description

For this first novel by Tom Kelly, the jacket needed to reflect the gritty realism of Hell’s Kitchen as well as the glitz of New York’s building boom of the 1980s. Since the main character borrows from Kelly’s own experience as a sandhog, or tunnel builder, the touch of truth was to have him photographed for the cover image.
