Description

American Windsor Chairs is the first—and most significant—part of a three-volume study of American Windsor furniture that has been in preparation for twenty-five years.

Publishing it represented the challenge of presenting a huge mass of material in a form that would provide legibility for the person reading it as well as clarity and accessibility for the person using it for research. It was also desired to make it as visually appealing as possible, while avoiding sameness in a book reproducing hundreds of similar objects.
