(2001) 50 Books/50 Covers of 2000

Due to the “collection” nature of this book, it was challenging to create a feel for the poetry without defining a specific genre of poems. I wanted to create a modern cover to introduce this collection as poetry of our modern world. In order to keep it from seeming dated, I chose the sans serif and placed it in a classic format. It needed to feel organic like a poem, thus the scribble and color shift throughout the cover.
