The open for MTV’s “AMP” was created using a mixture of live footage, 2-D, and 3-D animation. The piece was created to segueway into the weekly one-hour show “AMP,” which is a seamless ride of sonic and visual hallucinations. The open was intended to echo the content of the show by using very organic elements (both live and computer generated), edited in a rhythmic fashion to an abstract but energetic soundtrack. It is designed to appeal to an audience that is interested in the “electronica” music scene.
