Description

The purpose of this poster was to introduce the newly created graphic symbol for the school. In the last few decades, corporate marks have taken on a hard-edged sameness. We purposely set out to avoid that look.

SVA is an art school with a very broad agenda, ranging from technology-based programs to painterly pursuits. We felt it was imperative to reflect that scope. The solution was to contrast the icy perfection of the Bodoni typeface of the signature with the spontaneity of a painterly mark.
