Description

The Williams-Sonoma registry brochure is an image piece that relies on symbolic objects, tastefully photographed, to merchandise wedding gifts sold through a registry service. The client’s manager of advertising and promotions approached us with the idea of illustrating the old wedding adage “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.” We looked through a list of Williams-Sonoma’s best-selling items and came up with the classic toaster, a borrowed cup of sugar, a blue KitchanAid, and the set of cutlery. Before shooting, each object was lit to make it gleam like a precious jewel.

The brochure was designed as an insert for the annual wedding issue of Martha Stewart Living magazine.
