The Intiman Theatre’s production of Having Our Say: The Delaney Sisters’ First One Hundred Years is based on the best-seller of the same name. The play is a true account of two feisty sisters and their century of living in America. The main challenges in designing this poster were the length of the title and how to represent the women visually. Since the work was based on the lives of two actual women, using a photo seemed natural, but what age in the past 100 years would best represent them? We illustrated the sisters with letterforms, inspired by all of the available information.
