Description

The novel On the Ceiling is simple in structure, but the text itself possesses an extraordinary and often surreal humor. The design was intended to reflect the character of the text without intruding on legibility. The book was published for a popular audience as a split run cloth and paper so the design had to accommodate both formats—particularly the difference in the flexibility of the binding. The low production budget greatly restricted the choice of paper.
