Pottery Barn Kids, the brand extension for Pottery Barn, provides casual furnishings and textiles that emphasize fine materials, sophisticated color palettes and an eclectic, well-designed aesthetic. In capturing the essence of the Pottery Barn Kids line of products, we designed a branding system that was sophisticated yet whimsical. We created original icons illustrating children interacting with Pottery Barn Kids products in a playful way. The icons were inspired by Norman Rockwell’s spirit of celebrating childhood and graced all product packaging and collateral, including boxes, shopping bags, labels, tags and brochures.
“When I saw this, I said, ‘I wish I had done it.’ It gets the human into the design, while satisfying all the things a good logo should do.”
