Description

The CD-ROM set out to show CalArts 25 year history while grounding it firmly in the design context of the present day. The mix of archival material, recent work and video-bites was intended to be energetic and enticing since the audience was primarily a visually literate one. It succeeds on the
level of communication graphics by being easily accessible, organized and methodical, while still leaving room for user exploration, humor and discovery. Its strength lies in its tone of voice, the design is content specific rather than offering a universal interface solution.
