These photographs were shot by Christian Witkin for a twice yearly children’s fashion feature in the New York Times Magazine. Although we have full 4-color capability, the images were shot in black and white (for strength and simple emotional quality). The pictures are wonderful because they capture children in an entirely unconventional and irreverent way. They speak of the unselfconscious, goofy, scary, emotional period called childhood.
