Description

This book is a retrospective of the career of artist Hiroshi Sugimoto. Artwork from all of his significant periods was included in the publication. This is the first publication to give a comprehensive view of Sugimoto’s art. There were many technical challenges, as his photographs are very hard to reproduce with the offset-printing method. We used a combination of tritone and four-color process to reproduce all of the art.

Juror Notes

Understated and elegant. This impeccably designed catalog of Sugimoto’s photography beautifully complements the work within.
