Both the cover and catalog were made in the spirit of collaboration, both conceptually and technologically. The intent of the hand-printed cover is to give the viewer an insight into the tactile quality that imbues these hand-printed images—literally, to put the smell of fresh ink into the book!
Hooray for a hand-printed jacket for a book on hand-printed works on paper. This truly hand-painted vellum wrapper (I could even smell the oil-based ink) feels like the genuine article. Color-chip cover beneath integrates well—great use of layering.
