The poster was inspired by typical East Coast marine phenomena like whales, lobsters and fishing. Elements like the Utz Girl and the Boned Salted Codfish Bits Iceberg were taken from packaging found in a local Boston supermarket. The gulls are provided by the West Coast, though: a 49-mile scenic drive along the San Francisco Bay Area shoreline. Together, they represent the Pantheon of Grand American Designers who discuss the qualities of this unknown stranger . . .
