Description

The purpose of this communication was to promote a Dana Arnett lecture at the AIGA Dallas chapter. We wanted to reveal some of the comedy hidden in our work and our profession. As the poster was entirely blurred, the viewer had to get really close to the piece to read it. We also had to convince the printers not to focus the artwork as they were naturally afraid of delivering a flawed job.

Juror Notes

“I like how it functions at a poster level and at a microscopic level. There’s an ephemerality that seems so delicate.”

“There’s a clear idea as a poster and the timing is right. It’s also very Dana.”

“There’s an absolute intrigue that accompanies the blurred image.”
