Description

The goal was to create a solution encouraging different reading styles and to make the text accessible to a wider audience. The introductory pages encourage reading rather than “selecting.” The first lines of each poem and the first paragraphs of each essay form an additional text impressing upon the reader the character of the book. The geometric and strange organic black shapes that appear throughout the book are recognized by some readers who are familiar with Hawai’i, baffling others at the same time. With an eclectic mix of images and texts it is hoped that something new can be discovered with every reading.
