Description

The special challenge of this book was trying to capture something of the feel of Isadora Duncan’s time: the Art-Deco period. The uncommon Della Robbia typeface (with Koch Antiqua display) captured something of this slightly eccentric era: both types are from the 1920s; and both are somewhat unusual in form. The project had a tight budget, so we used a relatively inexpensive paper and only one black-and-white illustration, but splurged with a second color throughout and a nice binding paper. Since I hand-bound the books myself I was able to keep down the cost of the pasted label and hand sewing.
